Adopt Me Summerfest 2026 Guide: Acorns & New Pets
Summerfest 2026 was Adopt Me's big summer event, and it gave players more to actually do than most seasonal drops. Instead of one minigame and a shop, it ran three activities at once - fishing, skydiving, and water balloon fights - all feeding a brand new event currency called Acorns, plus a weekly vote and a lineup of exclusive pets.
This guide breaks down how every part of Summerfest worked: how Acorns were earned, how each activity paid out, which pets it introduced, and the daily routine players used to farm Acorns fastest. If you took part while it was live or you are just catching up on what the event added, this is the full picture.
Note: Summerfest 2026 ran from June 20 to July 20, 2026. It used its own currency, Acorns, earned through fishing, skydiving, water balloon fights, and simply caring for your pets. Every event pet - including the four Karp and the Tealwood Monster - became trade-only once the event closed.
What Summerfest 2026 Added
Summerfest followed straight on from the Journey to Summer Camp, the three-week pre-event that ran from May 29 to June 19 on a separate currency called Compass Coins. If you played through that buildup, we covered it in full in our Adopt Me Summer Camp 2026 breakdown. Summerfest was the main event those weeks were leading up to, and it reset everything: Compass Coins did not carry over, and the whole event ran on Acorns instead.
The familiar summer camp NPCs were back and each tied to a different part of the event: Cricket, Mayor Amanda, Randi, Dagi, and Jesse. The event set up across Adoption Island, from the Airship near the Playground to the Water Fight area by the Vehicle Dealership and the Fishing Shop.
What made Summerfest stand out was the number of ways to earn. Most Adopt Me events run on a single grind. Summerfest gave you passive income from pet care, three separate active minigames, and a weekly cosmetic vote, so you could pick whichever earning method suited how you wanted to play.
How Acorns Worked
Acorns were the only currency Summerfest used, and you could not buy them with Robux or Bucks. Every Acorn came from playing the event.
The most passive and consistent source was simply looking after your pets. Each pet need you completed - hunger, thirst, rest, and play - paid out 200 Acorns. Because that applied to every need across the whole event, keeping your pets out and tended earned hundreds of Acorns per session in the background while you did other things. If you were already aging pets up, you were already earning.
On top of that passive income, Summerfest had three active activities that dropped Acorns directly, each with its own mechanic and, in the case of water balloons, a daily cap. Those three activities were fishing, skydiving, and water balloon fights. Fishing was the deepest of the three and the best active source, so it is worth understanding properly.
Fishing: Rods, Bait, and the Tealwood Monster
Fishing was the most involved new mechanic in Summerfest, and the most rewarding active way to earn Acorns.
To start, you grabbed a free Bronze Fishing Rod from the Fishing Shop on Adoption Island. You only needed to do that once. Bait was separate and came in two types: Karp Bait, used to catch the four Karp fish, and Tealwood Monster Bait, used to catch the Tealwood Monster. You had to have the right bait equipped for whatever you were trying to catch before heading to a fishing spot. Fishing spots were found at the Fishing Shop and dotted throughout Adoption Island.
There were four Karp to catch, ranked from most to least common: Bronze Karp (the most common), Silver Karp, Gold Karp, and Rainbow Karp (the rarest). Higher-rarity Karp paid out more Acorns per catch, so it was worth chasing the rarer fish rather than only farming Bronze Karp for volume. Fish respawned each in-game day, so a spot you cleared refilled over time.
The Tealwood Monster was the reason serious fishers parked at the Fishing Shop spot specifically. It was a separate catch that needed its own Tealwood Monster Bait, it only appeared at the Fishing Shop spot rather than the island spots, and it was a catchable pet rather than just a fish. That made the Fishing Shop the more valuable spot for a dedicated fishing session, since it was the only place you could land the Tealwood Monster while still pulling Karp.
Skydiving and Water Balloon Fights
The other two active earners were skill-based minigames near the middle of the map.
Skydiving. From week one, you could board the Airship across from the Playground and go skydiving. After dropping out of the Airship, you fell slowly toward the ground and tried to pass through as many rings in the air as possible before landing as close to the center of the bullseye on the target board as you could. The closer to the middle you landed, the more Acorns you earned per jump. Randi, inside the Airship, also ran skydiving Time Trials with a server leaderboard, which was worth doing for competitive players chasing the top times.
Water Balloon Fight. You grabbed Water Balloons from the buckets in the Water Fight area between the Vehicle Dealership and the Campsite. Each Water Balloon had five uses. Every time a player got hit by a balloon you threw, 5 Acorns dropped for you, up to a cap of 250 Acorns from balloon hits per real-life day. If a member of the Uplift Games team was in your server and you managed to hit them, you earned significantly more, so it was worth watching the player list. Pets could also pick up a "Balloon Fight" ailment that needed three water balloon hits to clear and paid out 200 Acorns on completion.
Between the two, water balloons were the fastest capped earner. Because the 250 Acorn cap stopped counting once you hit it, players cleared it early each day and moved on. Skydiving had no hard cap, so it was where you spent time once the balloon cap was done.
Dagi vs Jesse: The Weekly Vote
Summerfest included an Admin Voting area where players voted for either Dagi or Jesse each week. Everyone who cast a vote received the winning team's cosmetic reward after the vote concluded, no matter which side they picked.
The first vote counted on June 27, 2026. If Dagi won, voters received the Sheepdog Army Hair, and if Jesse won, voters received the Glyptodon's Here Helmet. Once rewards went out, the vote reset and a new round opened with different prizes.
These weekly cosmetics were free and exclusive, and voting during the active window was the only way to get them. The smart move each week was simply to cast a vote before the deadline, since you got the reward regardless of the outcome.
Every New Summerfest Pet
Summerfest introduced a fresh set of pets, most of them tied to fishing. Once the event ended, they stopped being obtainable and became trade-only, which is the same retirement pattern that drives value on every limited Adopt Me pet.
- Tealwood Monster - a catchable pet, obtained only through fishing with Tealwood Monster Bait at the Fishing Shop spot. You could not buy it with Acorns, you had to catch it, which made it one of the more sought-after event pets from the start.
- Rainbow Karp - the rarest of the four Karp and the standout collectible catch of the event. Because it was the hardest to land, it carried the most trading interest after Summerfest wrapped.
- Bronze Karp, Silver Karp, Gold Karp - the other three Karp, all catchable pets that went into your inventory when caught rather than being simple fishing rewards. Bronze was the easiest to find, with rarity climbing through Silver and Gold.
- Acorn shop pets - the Acorn shop stocked additional event-exclusive pets you bought with earned Acorns, with stock that could rotate alongside the weekly voting rewards.
Since none of these are obtainable anymore, their trade value from here is set purely by demand. As with any retired Adopt Me pet, the rarer catches - Rainbow Karp and the Tealwood Monster - are the ones most likely to hold their value over time.
The Fastest Way to Farm Acorns
Players who farmed Acorns efficiently stacked every method into one routine rather than doing them one at a time. The most efficient daily session looked like this:
- Tend every pet need first. This was passive Acorn income at 200 per need, so it ran in the background while you did everything else. Get your pets out and cared for before anything else.
- Clear the Water Balloon cap early. It was the fastest capped earner at 5 Acorns per hit up to 250 per day. Once you hit the cap it stopped paying, so clearing it early got it out of the way.
- Run a few Skydiving jumps. With no daily cap, skydiving was where you kept earning after the balloon cap was done. Practicing your landing accuracy on the bullseye raised your Acorns per jump.
- Finish with a fishing rotation. The Fishing Shop spot was best for Tealwood Monster attempts, while the island spots were for chasing rarer Karp. Rainbow Karp paid the most per catch.
On top of the routine, pets could pick up event ailments during normal play - the Balloon Fight ailment (200 Acorns for three balloon hits) and the standard pet need ailments (200 Acorns each) - so it paid to clear those whenever they appeared rather than ignoring them.
Was Summerfest Worth Playing?
For regular Adopt Me players, Summerfest was one of the more hands-on events the game had run in a while. The fishing mechanic was the highlight: it was not just clicking through a menu, it asked for active play at fishing spots with the right bait equipped. The four Karp pets and the Tealwood Monster gave collectors real targets beyond generic event-currency grinding, and the weekly Dagi vs Jesse vote added a reason to log in each week even after you had earned what you wanted.
Now that the event has closed, the Karp pets and the Tealwood Monster are trade-only, so their value is down to demand from here. Adopt Me codes are rare, and while none were tied specifically to Summerfest, they do occasionally appear around major events - you can always track active ones on our Adopt Me codes page.
Summerfest set a high bar for what an Adopt Me summer event can be, with three distinct activities running at once instead of a single grind. If Uplift Games follows the same shape next summer, it is one of the events worth logging in for on day one.
