Pet Simulator 99 is the fourth and final entry in BIG Games' Pet Simulator franchise on Roblox by BIG Games Pets (Preston), launched December 2023 as the definitive version of the series. With over 2.38 billion visits and 2.11 million favorites, it is one of the most-visited games in Roblox history - and despite BIG Games disbanding in early 2026, it still sustains over 69,000 concurrent players through its enormous trading economy.

The core loop involves breaking obstacles to earn Coins, hatching those Coins into eggs, and collecting over 2,000 unique pets across seven rarity tiers:

• 💎 Normal / Golden / Rainbow - base through the first two upgrade tiers, with 2x and 3x stat multipliers respectively
• 💎 Shiny - cosmetic sparkle variant with high aesthetic and trade value
• 💎 Huge - ultra-rare tier, the most sought-after standard pets and anchor of the trading economy
• 💎 Titanic - rarer than Huge; certain Titanics have a 1% chance to spawn with Preston inside
• 💎 Gargantuan - extreme rarity tier introduced in the game's final major update
• 🗺️ Nine sub-places extend the experience: Tech World, Fantasy World, Void World, Fishing!, Farming!, and two separate Trading Plazas

Progression scales through dozens of themed areas separated by cash gates, each with its own exclusive egg pools and area-specific pets. The enchanting system merges duplicate pets to power up stat tiers from 1 through 7, adding an optimization layer beyond raw collection. Diamonds serve as the premium currency for the Exclusive Shop.

The game description now reads "Thanks for playing." - BIG Games has disbanded and active development has ended. The trading economy remains the game's primary endgame, sustained by tens of thousands of concurrent players and community-maintained Discord servers. For the franchise's earlier peak, Pet Simulator X remains playable with nearly 9 billion visits of its own.
