About Bee Swarm Simulator
Bee Swarm Simulator is a deep incremental simulator on Roblox where players grow a swarm of bees, collect pollen from flower fields, convert it to Honey, and work through an enormous chain of upgrades, area unlocks, and endgame crafting. Created by solo developer Onett and released in March 2018, the game has accumulated over 4.35 billion visits, won the Roblox Bloxy Award for Game of the Year, and sustains 30,000-70,000 concurrent players - one of the most dedicated communities on the platform.
The core loop is straightforward but layered with months of depth. Walk into a flower field, let your bees automatically collect pollen in three colors (red, blue, and white), return to your hive to convert pollen into Honey, then spend Honey on eggs, items, and area gates that escalate from thousands early on to billions and trillions at endgame. Players build a hive of 25-50 bees spanning rarity tiers from Common through Mythic and into Event-only varieties. Hive composition is the primary strategic decision, with experienced players eventually specializing into red, blue, or white field builds:
- โ๏ธ Combat - bees attack bugs and bosses including Tunnel Bear, King Beetle, Stump Snail, Coconut Crab, and Mondo Chick for bonus rewards and progression
- ๐ Gifted bees - special variants with a gold hive slot border, 50% boosted stats, and unique hive-wide passive bonuses; Star Treats let you choose exactly which bee goes Gifted
- ๐ Bear NPC quest chains - progress through Black Bear, Brown Bear, Mother Bear, Polar Bear, and ultimately Spirit Bear, with Bee Bear and Dapper Bear appearing during Beesmas
- โณ Beesmas - the annual winter event running December through March, adding Bee Bear quests, Gingerbread Bears and Snowflakes event currencies, limited-time bees, and the Beesmas Tree ornament system
Endgame systems include Beequips (equipment for individual bees with up to 13 slots unlocked by Dapper Bear quests), Supreme Star Amulets with random stat rolls to reroll for perfect combinations, and the Bloom System using the Bloom Shaker for active field buffs. Long crafting grinds for items like Gummy Boots and the Petal Wand extend the progression curve further. All four gamepasses are currently not for sale, making the game effectively free-to-play with progression gated purely on time investment.
Bee Swarm Simulator dwarfs all other bee-themed games on the platform. Bee Simulator offers a much more accessible entry point for players who find BSS overwhelming, while Bee Garden takes an idle-first approach with trading mechanics.
