How to Fix Roblox Error 264
Same Account on Different Device
"Duplicate Session Error"
MEDIUM Active
Fixes verified Apr 2026
Error 264 occurs when your Roblox account is logged into a game on one device and then someone (including you) logs into the same account on a different device. Roblox only allows one active game session per account at a time. When a second session starts, the first one is immediately disconnected with this error. This can also indicate that someone else has access to your account.
Quick Fixes
- Check if you are logged into Roblox on another device
- Sign out of all other devices and change your password
- Enable two-factor authentication on your account
- Make sure no one else knows your login credentials
- Close Roblox on all devices, then reopen on just one

Causes & Solutions
You may have Roblox open on your phone, tablet, or another computer at the same time. When you launch a game on the second device, the first device gets disconnected with error 264.
Close Roblox on other devices
- Check all your devices (phone, tablet, PC, Xbox) for open Roblox sessions
- Close Roblox completely on every device except the one you want to play on
- On mobile, make sure to force-close the app, not just minimize it
- Wait about 30 seconds for the old session to fully disconnect
- Launch the game again on your preferred device
