About Age of Heroes
Age of Heroes is a Roblox superhero fighting game developed by Ignite Games where players choose a faction - Hero or Villain - and build power by battling NPCs and other players in an open city map. The game's defining system is its dual Reputation track: every fight either raises or lowers your standing with your chosen side, eventually unlocking titles that range from Citizen and Vigilante up through Superhero and the elusive God tier at 100,000 reputation. With 153 million visits since its 2020 launch, it has built a sustained playerbase in the superhero brawler genre on Roblox.
Players spawn into the city and immediately commit to a team. From there, progression is driven by defeating NPCs and other players to earn XP and reputation. The power system lets players invest Skill Points into active abilities and passive upgrades that stack into increasingly destructive combinations. Every choice shapes how your hero or villain plays from that point forward:
- βοΈ Powers - active abilities bound to Q, E, and F keys including Flight, Super Speed, Laser Vision, Metal Skin, and Telekinesis; each costs Skill Points to unlock and more to upgrade
- πΌ Passives - always-on stat upgrades across Strength (attack damage), Vitality (max HP), Healing (recovery), and Energy (power duration)
- π Reputation Titles - Heroes climb from Citizen through Vigilante, Hero, Saviour, Superhero, Legend, to God; Villains follow a parallel track from Criminal through Antihero, Menace, Villain, Supervillain, Titan, to God
- πΊοΈ NPC Factions - Police attack Villains, Thugs attack Heroes, and Civilians flee; each NPC type rewards reputation to the correct faction for defeating them
- π° XP Orbs - Yellow (25 XP), Blue (50 XP), and Red (100 XP) orbs scattered across the map and respawning in random locations supplement NPC kill XP
Safe Zones protect each faction's spawn area from combat, giving players breathing room to rebuild after taking losses. Killing an enemy player grants reputation; killing an ally does the opposite. Being killed resets all reputation to zero - making each death a meaningful setback rather than a minor inconvenience.
Age of Heroes is currently in open alpha testing with Ignite Games and new lead developer die4wrldxp actively maintaining it. It sits alongside other Roblox superhero brawlers as a faction-driven option for players who enjoy the reputation grind loop.
