About Anime Crossover Defense
Anime Crossover Defense is an anime tower defense game on Roblox developed by Fish Bean Studio, launched in May 2024. Players collect parody-named units based on characters from Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, Solo Leveling, and more, then place them on maps to survive enemy waves. With over 20 million visits and a deep progression system spanning dual upgrade paths, prestige mechanics, artifacts, and multiple game modes, it holds a solid footprint in the Roblox tower defense genre.
The defining mechanical feature is the Dual Upgrade Path system, where every unit has two distinct upgrade branches. The Top path emphasizes raw damage with visual transformations and extra attack properties, while the Bottom path exponentially increases most stats without the flashy forms. Purchasing three levels in one path caps the other at two, forcing meaningful build decisions that set player strategies apart:
- ⚔️ Units - parody-named anime characters placed as towers, with rarities from Rare through Mythical
- 💎 Dual Upgrade Paths - two branching upgrade routes per unit with mutual level caps, creating distinct build strategies
- 🏆 Prestige - at level 100 units can be Prestiged for a 20% damage boost per tier, capping at Prestige 5 for a 100%+ total increase
- 💰 Laboratory - passive global stat upgrade system separate from individual unit upgrades
- ⏳ Game Modes - story stages, Raids, Dungeons, and additional challenge modes with distinct reward pools
Gems are the primary summoning currency. Crystal Helixes are used for trait rerolling. Crystal Shards are crafting materials. Rift Orbs are the high-tier endgame currency for Legendary and Mythical pulls. The Ascend mechanic lets players sacrifice units to raise another unit's rarity tier.
Anime Crossover Defense competes in the same space as Anime Crusaders and Anime Defenders. Its dual upgrade path system is a stronger mechanical differentiator than most in the genre, and a major revamp announced in early 2026 is expected to significantly change the game's standing when it launches.
