About Anime Royale
Anime Royale is an anime-themed tower defense game on Roblox where players summon iconic anime characters as combat units, place them strategically on map paths, and defend against escalating waves of enemies. Launched in February 2024 by the Anime RoyaIe group, it accumulated over 51 million visits and 77K favorites before the developers announced the end of active updates in February 2026. The game now operates in maintenance mode, but its trading economy and code archive remain active.
The core gameplay loop follows the tower defense template: enter a level, place units at strategic positions, earn in-game currency from clearing enemies, upgrade or add more units mid-battle, and survive all waves to win. The challenge comes from unit selection and positioning - optimal placement dramatically outperforms raw rarity advantage. The game's key systems include:
- āļø Units - anime characters from Jujutsu Kaisen, Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball, and JoJo, each with attack ranges and evolution paths
- š Diamonds - the main gacha pull currency; the most valuable reward from codes
- š° Rerolls - used to randomize unit stats or traits
- š Trading - player-to-player unit exchange system; the current primary community feature
- ā³ Evolution - upgrade units into more powerful forms with visual transformations
Units span rarity tiers from Common through Secret/Mythic, and are obtained via a banner-based gacha system using Diamonds. Lucky and Super Lucky potions boost pull odds temporarily. Stat Crystals and Stat Shards enhance unit base statistics after pulling.
For players joining now, the large backlog of 28 active codes provides a solid starting supply of Diamonds and enhancement materials. Anime Royale competes in the same space as All Star Tower Defense and Anime Vanguards, distinguished by its cross-franchise unit mixing, trading economy, and one of the largest active code banks in the genre.
