Be a Snake is a competitive creature-growing simulator on Roblox by Protori x BarDowned, launched April 2024 and accumulating 141.8M+ visits. Players become a snake that grows in Size by eating animals and other players, earn Skulls through PvP combat, and hatch eggs for cosmetic snake skins. The same developer also makes Be a Shark, and both games share an nearly identical progression template built around Size scaling, Skull currency, and egg hatching.
The size-based hierarchy drives every session: bigger snakes can eat smaller ones, creating direct competitive incentives in every public server. The 10-player cap keeps servers competitive without becoming chaotic:
