About Beat the Scammers

What the game is about and where to play it

Beat the Scammers is an official Roblox safety education game produced by Roblox Resources as part of the Roblox Digital Citizenship curriculum, launched in 2020 to help younger players recognize and resist common Roblox scam attempts. With approximately 14 million lifetime visits and still active as of 2025, the experience remains playable and rewards are still obtainable.

The gameplay is a pattern-recognition walkthrough, not a quiz. Players spawn into a hub environment populated with NPCs and signs. Ten of those entities display orange chat bubbles containing scam pitches - free Robux generators, fake account trades, fake Roblox staff claiming to need credentials, and trade-window manipulation tactics. Players click each orange-bubble entity and select "Unreliable" from the dialogue prompt to flag it correctly. After all ten correct identifications, the Shield of the Sentinel avatar back accessory is automatically awarded along with the "Keep Guard!" completion badge.

Unlike the Roblox Creator Challenge series, which used a lesson-and-quiz format, Beat the Scammers uses an interactive walkthrough approach. The educational design emphasizes:

  • 💎 Free Robux scams - generators and click-bait link promises
  • 🎭 Credential phishing - fake Roblox staff requesting account details
  • ⚔️ Account trades - "I'll give you my account if you give me yours"
  • 💰 Trade manipulation - off-value trades designed to exploit newer players
  • 🗺️ Social engineering - DM-based link-bait and giveaway scams

The experience at place ID 5450795073 is operated by the verified Roblox Resources group and was last updated in February 2025. The Shield of the Sentinel can still be earned today by completing the walkthrough.
