Blub Defense

Blub Defense is a hybrid castle-building tower defense game on Roblox developed by the Blub Defense Group, launched in October 2023. Players construct fortified camps and defend them against waves of enemies using Blubs - small blob-creature soldiers deployed in melee and ranged roles. Unlike most Roblox tower defense games that use fixed grid placement, Blub Defense combines physical castle construction with unit deployment. The game has accumulated 40 million visits and 74K favorites with a 90% approval rating.

The core loop involves choosing a corner position on the map, building walls and elevated platforms to funnel enemies, then placing Blubs in strategic positions to repel four-wave attack sequences. Story Mode provides six progressively difficult levels with reworked maps:

• ⚔️ Camp placement - choosing a map corner limits enemy approach to two sides instead of all four
• 🏠 Castle building - physically construct walls, towers, and barriers using the Build Interface
• ⚔️ Melee Blubs - close-range fighters placed at ground level in front of defensive structures
• ⚔️ Ranged Blubs - long-range defenders most effective when placed on elevated walls and towers
• ⚔️ Merging - combine two identical Blubs in the Merge tab to produce a stronger upgraded version
• 🏆 Story Mode - six levels with escalating difficulty; maps recently reworked with updated layouts

Coins are the primary currency, earned from surviving waves and spent on purchasing Blub units and building materials. The 46-player server size makes cooperative defense with friends fully viable, which is one of the larger server caps in the tower defense genre.

Blub Defense distinguishes itself from anime-style Roblox tower defense games through its blob aesthetic and physical castle-building mechanics, filling a niche closer to classic castle defense games than to unit-placement-only titles.
