About Brace

What the game is about and where to play it

Brace is a build-and-race party game on Roblox developed by HALFDICE, inspired by Ultimate Chicken Horse and Make Way. Players collaboratively design the track before each race by placing pieces from a randomly offered selection, then immediately race the chaos they collectively built. Launched in June 2024, the game has reached 24.1 million visits and 102,000 favorites with active development through April 2026. A dedicated Fandom wiki at brace.fandom.com has 201 pages. Servers hold 12 players.

Each round alternates between a building phase and a racing phase, with the track growing more treacherous as players add pieces designed to help themselves while hindering opponents:

  • ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Track building - each player places one piece from a random selection; 40+ piece types include Springboards, Oil Barrels, Ice Barrels, Walls, Loops, Narrow Bridges, Phantom Tiles, and Halfpipes
  • ๐Ÿš— Racing - all players drive through the completed track simultaneously; vehicle physics plus obstacle placement creates unique chaotic races every round
  • ๐Ÿš— Vehicles - all vehicles move at the same speed (cosmetic-only); the shop includes permanent vehicles (Impala free, CRX, Folk'sWagon T1, Furd Bronco, Silverado) and rotating Daily vehicles (Tank, Banana Car, Patty Wagon, Hand Car)
  • ๐Ÿ’ฐ Currencies - Money (primary, from race results, spent on Regular vehicles), Gems (secondary, for Daily vehicles), Keys (for opening Crates containing Wraps), and seasonal Candy (Halloween HotRod costs 50 Candy)
  • ๐Ÿ’Ž Wraps - vehicle cosmetic skins obtainable from Crates (opened with Keys) and from codes; Pride Wraps were distributed through the Pride code
  • ๐Ÿ† Badge achievements - 19 badges track specific race outcomes like Sniped (won despite being targeted), Self-Sabotage (placed a piece that hurt yourself), Space Program (launched far by a Springboard), and Last Laugh (won when expected to lose)

Two gamepasses provide legacy vehicle collections: Classic Vehicle Pack and Legacy Vehicle Pack. A separate Track Builder sub-place allows structured track design outside of competitive racing.

Brace suits players who enjoy party games where collaboration and sabotage coexist in the same mechanic. Its closest comparison is Ultimate Chicken Horse, adapted for the Roblox racing format.

What is Brace?
Brace is a build-and-race party game on Roblox by HALFDICE inspired by Ultimate Chicken Horse and Make Way, where players collaboratively build a track from random piece selections and then race the chaos they created together. It has 24.1 million visits since its June 2024 launch and a Fandom wiki at brace.fandom.com with 201 pages.
Who made Brace?
Brace was developed by HALFDICE, a Roblox developer group. The game launched in June 2024 and is actively updated through April 2026. It is in early development with bugs acknowledged, and the developer recommends reporting issues through the community hub.
How does building work in Brace?
During the building phase, each player is offered a random selection of track pieces and must choose one to place on the shared course. Pieces include obstacles (Springboard, Oil Barrel, Ice Barrel, Wall, Bumper) and track segments (Loop, Narrow Bridge, Phantom Tiles, Halfpipe, Gap). Players aim to pick pieces that help their own driving while blocking opponents. After building, everyone races the completed track simultaneously.
Are vehicles different speeds in Brace?
No - all vehicles in Brace move at the same speed. Vehicles are purely cosmetic, letting players express personal style without affecting race outcomes. The shop includes free vehicles like the Impala and paid options up to the Classic Jeep, with Daily vehicles rotating on a refresh schedule.
What is the Track Builder sub-place in Brace?
Track Builder is a separate creative mode sub-place in Brace where players can design and test custom tracks without the competitive racing context. It allows structured track design and experimentation with piece placements before using them in real matches.
