Build a Raft or Die

Build a Raft or Die is a multiplayer survival-building game on Roblox developed by Build a Raft (group), launched in May 2023. Up to 7 players collect materials from the starting area, weld them together into a raft before a flood begins, then navigate a hazard-filled river while fighting off pirates. With 47.5 million visits and 1.55 million favorites - an exceptionally high favorite rate relative to concurrent players - it has a large returning audience that keeps coming back for the survival challenge.

The round structure creates a natural dramatic arc. Gather materials, weld fast, then survive. Every decision in the building phase matters when the river phase begins. Here is what the experience includes:

• ⚔️ Pirate Combat - armed NPC pirates board the raft during the river phase and must be repelled with guns and ammo while co-op partners handle navigation

• 🏠 Raft Construction - collect metal sheets, wooden pallets, crates, and barrels, then weld them together using the Z key; press R to rotate items before attaching
• 🎭 Co-op Survival - up to 7 players share a server; dividing into gatherers, builders, and fighters is the optimal team strategy
• 💰 Coins - earned by surviving longer and reaching further distances; spent on upgrades and materials between sessions

The win condition is reaching the end of the river with the raft intact. Metal sheets are more durable than wooden pallets, so prioritizing metal during the gathering phase improves survival odds. All 17 historically tracked codes are currently expired, with the next code gated at the 50,000 likes milestone as announced in the game description.

The game compares closely to Build a Raft, which is a pure creative sandbox without survival stakes or combat.
