Choose Your Power

Choose Your Power is an Aspects-based PvP fighting game on Roblox by Golden Ratio Games where players unlock elemental and themed power sets through collecting Hits in battle or completing achievement quests. Acknowledging its inspirations directly - Strife Alpha and Ability Wars - the game has grown to 53.8M+ visits in roughly 18 months since launching in October 2024, with 800-1,200 concurrent players and an exceptionally high favorites-to-visits ratio of 0.69%. All platforms are supported, and a community wiki at choose-your-power.fandom.com documents all 23 currently obtainable Aspects.

The progression loop flows from combat to currency to power: fight players and NPCs to collect Hits, spend Hits to unlock stronger Aspects, then use those Aspects to fight more efficiently. Two NPCs provide reliable farming targets, and the boss NPC spawns on a 25-minute timer:

• ⚔️ Quickstep - free starter Aspect (0 Hits); available to all players immediately
• ⚔️ Splash, Ember, Immolation, Breeze - early-to-mid Aspects unlocked with 50-250 Hits
• ⚔️ Rust (350 Hits) - applies stackable status effects that increase damage; unique combo mechanic
• ⚔️ Berserk (1,800 Hits) - high-tier Aspect; among the strongest in the current roster
• 💎 Moss Aspect - unlocked via the Fair Trade badge quest using Lumeshrooms at the temple
• 💎 Warden Aspect - unlocked by defeating Balith (boss NPC) and earning the Guardian of the Dungeon badge
• ⚔️ Gold Rush Swords (400 R$) - purchasable Aspect available via gamepass

Hits are the primary currency, earned by hitting players and NPCs, killing players, and collecting Balith's orb after defeating him. Cherries are a secondary currency earned only from Balith, with future use planned as a merchant currency for additional Aspects. The 2x Hits gamepass (250 R$) doubles all Hit earnings and is the most efficient pass for unlocking Aspects faster.

Choose Your Power competes in the Roblox ability-fighting space alongside Ability Wars but differentiates itself through the quest-based Aspect unlock system, which rewards exploration and boss-hunting rather than purely grinding combat.
