Criminal Tycoon

Criminal Tycoon is a crime empire tycoon on Roblox by 27 Interactive (Twitter: @CriminalTycoon), launched in July 2023 and maintaining 500-800 concurrent players across 128 million visits. Players construct a criminal base, rob targets across an open city map, and use a Rebirth prestige system to restart with permanent multipliers. Unlike passive tycoons where numbers tick up automatically, Criminal Tycoon requires active third-person heist play to drive real income.

The game's systems layer passive and active income in a progression loop built for long-term play:

• 🏠 Build your base - structures like Printers generate Cash passively, Vaults store it, and Research Stations provide permanent upgrades that scale across Rebirths
• 💼 Execute heists - rob targets across the city map from early gas stations and supermarkets up to an Aircraft Carrier as the highest-reward location; bringing a Crew scales both difficulty and payout
• ⚔️ Arm up with a diverse weapon roster - including a MEGA RPG, Laser Railgun, and Attack Drone with 1,200-stud range; vehicles add mobility and combat advantages
• 🚗 Drive and fight - the Invictus Helicopter (1,200R$), SWAT vehicle (800R$), and Insurgent armored vehicle (800R$) give aerial and ground combat options
• 🏆 KO rivals in PvP - Cash accumulates a Bounty that other players can contest; KO milestone badges track combat progress from first kill to 50 KOs
• 💰 Rebirth for prestige multipliers - resetting your base earns permanent multipliers for faster subsequent runs; the Rebirth cap was removed entirely in the December 2024 Medallion Update, enabling unlimited prestige cycles

At Rebirth 8+, the Medallions endgame currency unlocks, extending the progression ceiling well beyond the base loop. 27 Interactive maintains a full public update log on the Roblox DevForum (devforum.roblox.com/t/3035671), one of the more transparent developer communication setups in the tycoon genre. The game is currently in a slower update phase, with the wiki noting no major updates since August 2025.
