About Dead Space
Dead Space is a sci-fi survival game on Roblox by JadeSeal, launched in March 2025. Players board a space vehicle and push outward across a hostile moon through abandoned stations and alien-occupied cities - inspired by Dead Rails and R.E.P.O., but transplanted into a sci-fi setting. With a 97.5% approval rating from over 54,000 votes and full console support confirmed, it has built a particularly passionate audience for a game still in early development. This game is not affiliated with EA's Dead Space franchise.
Each run measures distance survived across a 60 KM course. Resource and combat encounters interrupt the journey at regular intervals:
- ๐บ๏ธ Stations - appear every 8 KM with resources and enemy encounters to work through
- โ๏ธ Alien Cities - fortified zones every 9 KM, color-coded by difficulty: green (easy), yellow (medium), purple (hard)
- ๐ Star Shards - premium currency earned by pushing through Alien Cities, used for rerolls and special unlocks
- ๐ Difficulty modes - Normal, Hard, Nightmare, and Impossible each carry distinct completion badges for bragging rights
- ๐ฐ Weapon passes - spawn with a Specter SMG, Plasma Gun, Ghost Rifle, or melee weapons from the start of each run
- โณ Seasonal events - Pumpkin Hunter Halloween mode and Christmas event pets expand the experience throughout the year
The Giant Mutant Mushroom boss, added in November 2025, provides a mid-run challenge beyond the standard Alien City gauntlet. Joining the JadeSeal group grants an exclusive reward, and the developer has been known to appear in-game - over 2,400 players have earned the You met a Creator badge.
Dead Space is one of the highest-rated Dead Rails-inspired games on Roblox, offering a space setting that meaningfully differs from the western and zombie themes dominant in the genre. It is a natural choice for players who have exhausted Dead Rails and want a harder challenge.
