Electric State DarkRP(Beta)

Electric State DarkRP is a node-based building and social roleplay sandbox on Roblox by REDD DarkRP, taking direct inspiration from the DarkRP gamemode popularized in Garry's Mod. Launched in August 2018 and still in Beta as of April 2026, it has accumulated 69.9 million visits and 384K favorites with an 84.4% approval rating across 30-player servers.

Players place and connect nodes to construct structures in a shared persistent world, interact with other builders, and roleplay within the DarkRP convention set. The building-focused sandbox loop covers several layers:

• 🏠 Placing and connecting nodes to build structures in the shared world (press B to open building)
• 🎭 Advertising to the entire server via the /ad chat command
• 💰 Earning Cash through in-world activities - note that Cash resets at the end of each beta session
• 🏠 Preserving player-built structures via the save system between sessions
• 🎭 Interacting with other roleplayers across the medium-density 30-player environment

The general menu is accessed with T, and the building interface opens with B. Player saves store construction data between sessions, though Cash is wiped at each session end. An active April 2026 update removed barrels from the game, which caused some player saves to fail loading - the developer has flagged this as a known issue with a fix in progress.

Electric State DarkRP fills a specific niche for players who enjoy the creative building and social structure of DarkRP without leaving Roblox.
