Evade is a horror-parkour survival game on Roblox by Hexagon Development Community (HDC) where players must outrun relentless AI enemies called Nextbots without any weapons or means of fighting back. Inspired by the Garry's Mod Nextbot Chase mode, survival depends entirely on movement, map knowledge, and smart use of the Whistle to redirect pursuers. Since its June 2022 launch, Evade has accumulated over 8.4 billion visits and 7.55 million favorites, sustaining 20,000 to 40,000 concurrent players.

Nextbots are walking PNG images - meme faces and licensed characters including anime additions from Summer 2025 - that detect players through line of sight and eliminate on contact. The 255+ Nextbot roster and 16 distinct game modes ensure no two sessions play the same:

⚔️ Classic mode with limited lives and standard reward multipliers for core survival play
⚔️ Player Nextbots mode where one player hunts the rest of the server
🎭 Social Space with no enemies and up to 75 players for cosmetics showcasing
🗺️ 16 total modes including Casual, Pro, Legacy Evade, VC Only, and Custom Servers
⏳ Seasonal events for Halloween, Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, and Summer with exclusive cosmetics

Cash earned from surviving rounds buys character skins, emotes, and tools. Points from codes and Daily Missions fund the rotating Daily Store that resets at 8 PM EST. Power-ups spawning on maps grant temporary speed, jump, and invincibility boosts during rounds.
