Fish Hunter

Fish Hunter is a competitive fishing-combat hybrid on Roblox developed by Fishing League, launched June 2025. Instead of a traditional rod and wait mechanic, players aim and shoot fish with ranged fishing weapons - a design that turns every catch into an active race against up to five other players competing for the same targets. The game reached 52 million visits in under a year with 1.49 million favorites and a 96% approval rating.

The core loop runs through three phases: shoot fish to catch them, sell catches for Gold or display them in your personal aquarium, and spend Gold on upgraded weapons and new fishing areas. Fish come in a tiered rarity system - rarer specimens move faster and require more shots to land but sell for substantially more Gold, making target priority a constant decision:

Gold funds weapon upgrades (including the tiered Coin x2 through Coin x10 multiplier gamepasses), new fishing areas, and aquarium improvements. Building a valuable aquarium creates a risk-reward tension - a large collection makes you a visible target for raids.
