About Fling to Climb!
Fling to Climb! is a first-person physics-based climbing game on Roblox developed by FLING 2 CLIMB, launched in May 2025. Players click and hold on rock walls to grip, then release while moving the mouse to launch themselves upward through obstacle-filled vertical environments. The game has accumulated 36.8 million visits and carries a 42.9% approval rating - a figure the developers lean into explicitly, warning that the game "will cause a phenomenon known as raging." Deliberately punishing difficulty is the product.
The grip-and-fling control scheme is unlike any standard platformer or climbing game on Roblox. Mastering the feel of momentum, timing, and mouse direction is the entire learning curve. Each obstacle layer adds a new physics complication:
- πΊοΈ Lava sections require precise grip timing - contact kills immediately
- πΊοΈ Ice surfaces change the physics of grip and release, making trajectories harder to predict
- πΊοΈ Wind hazards alter mid-air fling trajectory, requiring anticipation
- π Height milestones at every 1,000 studs up to 6,000 studs with dedicated achievement badges
- π Community Level and Race sub-places for player-created content and competitive speed climbing
Checkpoints save progress as players climb higher, and coins collected during the ascent can be spent on skin rolls for cosmetic character appearances. The Flinger Pack gamepass lets players fling other climbers off the wall, adding a competitive sabotage layer. Double Length extends grip reach, Sprinting enables faster movement, and Double Coins doubles income from the climb. First-person mode is required for the full experience and high mouse sensitivity is recommended for quick, precise movements.
Anti-cheat enforcement is strict - hacking results in a permanent ban, and ban appeals go through the FLING 2 CLIMB Discord server. Active development continues as of April 2026.
