About Project Pawtucket
NERF Strike - officially rebranded to FOAM Strike (now listed as Project Pawtucket) - is a Roblox first-person shooter developed by Metaverse Team in partnership with Hasbro's NERF brand, launched January 2021. Players choose from foam dart blasters across four named series, compete in three game modes, and progress through a per-blaster XP leveling system with cosmetic skins, scopes, masks, vests, and abilities. With 85.9M+ visits and 613.8K favorites, it built one of the largest branded FPS fanbases on Roblox.
The per-blaster XP system is the core progression axis - every blaster levels up independently through use, upgrading its Rate of Fire and Accuracy stats. Players work toward collecting and maxing out the full roster spanning four NERF product lines:
- βοΈ 30+ blasters across ELITE 2.0, ULTRA, MEGA, and Dragonpower series - each tracked by a dedicated badge
- π Three competitive modes: Free For All (first to 50 tags wins), Team (deplete enemy respawns), and Domination (capture point control)
- π ELO Ranking system for competitive skill matchmaking, added in Update 16
- πΊοΈ VR Support added in Update 15, a rare feature for Roblox first-person shooters
- π° Gems as the premium currency for crates, and Coins earned through leveling milestones
Skillshots alter map or level conditions mid-match, adding a dynamic layer beyond standard shooting. Pastel and Dragon crates grant cosmetic skins for all blasters simultaneously when opened. Player level caps at 80, with milestone levels (2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75) rewarding Skin Crates and Coins. The game is in a light-maintenance phase with its last update in November 2025.
