Math Tower Race

Math Tower Race is a competitive multiplayer educational game on Roblox developed by Team Ry LLC where players race to build the tallest tower by answering arithmetic math problems as fast as possible. Each correct answer adds blocks to a player's tower while rising lava threatens anyone who falls behind. Launched in May 2024, the game crossed 311 million visits in under two years, making it one of the most successful educational games on Roblox with 1,000-3,000 concurrent players.

Up to 8 players compete in each round against the same problems in real time. Speed is rewarded directly - faster correct answers earn more blocks, creating a dual challenge of accuracy and response time. The round structure and lava mechanic make every second matter:

The Review tab lets players practice recent question types outside of competitive rounds - an intentional educational feature uncommon at this scale. An Algebra Mode sub-place offers a separate space for algebra-level problems.

Math Tower Race is the top-performing title in the competitive math quiz genre, with Math Answer or Die and Math Murder as the nearest competitors but without the tower-building and lava mechanics.
