Players drag identical drill units together to merge them into more powerful equipment, dig through progressively harder terrain layers, uncover valuable treasures at depth, and compete on a leaderboard for the deepest dig. Progression advances through the drill tier system:

Drills have health points and break from use - the +50% Drill Health gamepass extends durability significantly. TNT, Gems, and Medkits spawn randomly in the terrain: TNT clears areas, Medkits repair drills, and Gems serve as secondary currency. The dramatic drop in badge awards from Drill 10 (762,000 awarded) to Drill 20 (1,950 awarded) confirms that the midgame difficulty spike is a major retention wall.
