About Mining Simulator

What the game is about and where to play it

Mining Simulator is one of Roblox's most iconic incremental simulators, created by Rumble Studios in February 2018. Players dig underground to collect ores and gems, sell their haul at the Sell Circle for Coins, upgrade pickaxes and backpacks, collect Pets and Hats, and unlock progressively exotic worlds - from standard tunnels to dinosaur zones, outer space, and themed fantasy realms. It won four Builderman Awards in 2018 and has accumulated over 830 million visits.

The defining mechanic is the Rebirth system, which gives every run permanent stakes and long-term momentum:

  • πŸ—ΊοΈ Mine blocks in themed underground worlds with progressively rarer and more valuable ore types
  • πŸ’° Sell ore at the Sell Circle for Coins, then spend them on Pickaxe and Backpack upgrades
  • πŸ’Ž Collect Pets (Common through Legendary) hatched from Eggs for passive bonuses to speed, power, and ore value
  • 🏠 Earn Hats from Common through Omega Hat Crates - Omega hats provide the strongest stat contributions
  • ⏳ Rebirth to sacrifice your Pickaxe, Backpack, and Coins for a permanent ore value multiplier that stacks across dozens of runs
  • πŸ’° Spend Tokens (the premium currency) in the Rebirth Shop at high rebirth counts for exclusive items

Cosmetics, Pets, and permanently unlocked items survive every Rebirth intact. Early worlds are standard tunnels; later worlds include Dinosaur Bones zones, outer space environments, and themed fantasy realms - each with ores worth dramatically more per block.

The game is in maintenance mode while Rumble Studios develops Mining Simulator 2, but seasonal events still occur.

What is Mining Simulator?
Mining Simulator is an incremental simulator on Roblox where players mine underground for ores and gems, sell them for Coins, upgrade tools and backpacks, collect pets and hats, and unlock progressively exotic worlds. Created by Rumble Studios in 2018, it has over 830 million visits and won four Builderman Awards.
Who made Mining Simulator?
Mining Simulator was created by Rumble Studios, a Roblox developer group. The game launched in February 2018 and is the predecessor to Mining Simulator 2, a separate standalone sequel also by Rumble Studios.
How does the Rebirth system work in Mining Simulator?
Rebirthing sacrifices your current Pickaxe, Backpack, and Coins in exchange for a permanent ore value multiplier that makes every future block worth more Coins. Cosmetics, pets, hats, and permanently unlocked items are never lost. Players repeat this cycle dozens of times to reach endgame multipliers.
What are Pets in Mining Simulator?
Pets are collectible companions that provide passive bonuses to mining speed, mining power, ore value, and walkspeed. They are obtained by hatching Eggs in Common, Unique, Rare, and Legendary rarity tiers. Legendary pets provide the strongest bonuses.
What is the difference between Mining Simulator and Mining Simulator 2?
Mining Simulator is the original 2018 game, now in maintenance mode with seasonal events and codes still active. Mining Simulator 2 is a separate standalone sequel by Rumble Studios with a full new progression system. Both are playable independently.
