About Mow The Lawn!
Mow The Lawn! is an incremental simulator and tycoon hybrid on Roblox developed by MouseClick Studio (Protori and BarDowned), launched in July 2022. Players mow grass to earn Cash, upgrade their mower and storage, collect pets for passive multipliers, and unlock higher-value mowing zones. With over 94 million visits and a 95.6% approval rating from more than 251,000 voters, the game has built a lasting reputation on a premise that sounds mundane but delivers satisfying depth.
The gameplay alternates between active mowing and spending decisions, with every upgrade purchase feeding directly back into efficiency:
- π Mower - drive across grass fields to fill your storage container with clippings; higher-tier mowers cut faster and hold more
- π° Marketplace - sell clippings at spawn to earn Cash, the fuel for every other system in the game
- π° Boosts - temporary Cash multipliers purchased with Cash to spike earnings during active sessions
- π Pets - companions that provide passive Cash multipliers per mow; higher rarity means larger bonuses
- πΊοΈ Areas - distinct mowing biomes unlocked at Cash thresholds where grass yields more Cash per square
- π Tycoon plot - a persistent property developed alongside the mowing loop, adding structure beyond a pure simulator
Cash is the single economy layer: mower tiers, container upgrades, pet purchases, boost spending, and area unlocks all draw from the same pool. Deciding whether to invest in the next Container upgrade or hold Cash for the next Area unlock is the core mid-game tension. Mower XP adds a parallel track - mowing accumulates experience that upgrades the mower tier separately from Cash purchases.
Mow The Lawn! competes in the mowing simulator genre with a more developed tycoon and pet system than most alternatives. Up to 20 players share a server, letting friends mow together as part of the landscaper roleplay.
