Pet Simulator X!

Pet Simulator X (PSX) is the third major entry in the Pet Simulator franchise on Roblox by BIG Games Pets (Preston Arsement's studio), and one of the highest-visit games in Roblox history with nearly 9 billion visits. Launched in January 2021, PSX defined the modern pet-collecting simulator genre during its dominant run - the core hatch-break-trade loop it popularized can be found in dozens of games released in its wake.

The progression system centers on three pet forms with dramatically different coin output:

• 💎 Normal - base form of each pet, the starting point for every collection
• 💎 Golden - first upgrade tier, roughly 2-3x coin multiplier over Normal
• 💎 Rainbow - highest standard tier, approximately 8x over Normal - the primary trading target
• 🗺️ Dozens of unlockable biomes, each gating escalating Coin thresholds and exclusive egg pools
• ⏳ Seasonal event eggs (Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Summer) produced the most coveted limited-run pets

Pets auto-attack treasure chests in each biome to earn Coins and Gems. Enchantments apply passive stat bonuses to individual pets, adding an optimization layer beyond raw rarity. The Diamond Shop handles exclusive cosmetics and limited-event items purchased with Diamonds.

BIG Games officially halted active development of Pet Simulator X in October 2024 to focus on other titles. Despite this, PSX retains over 1,000 concurrent players and one of Roblox's most developed trading economies, with community-maintained value lists and active trading Discord servers.
