The remake was created because exploiters destroyed the playability of the original. The developer explicitly credits DylanBuildar and stayed faithful to the original Mayhem design philosophy while expanding the event count and fixing the core vulnerability.

The survival loop is purely chaotic and outcome-unpredictable:
