Ship Defense Simulator (SDS) is a Roblox tower defense game with real-time strategy elements by MRD lndustries, where players command a fleet of ships across five configurable slots to repel escalating enemy waves. Created in December 2022 and inspired by Star Wars ships and locations, SDS requires tactical fleet composition rather than pure reflex - choosing which ships fill your five slots and how to upgrade between waves determines how far you advance. The game has crossed 10.9 million visits with a 24-player co-op server cap and draws 100-300 concurrent players.

Each match begins with fleet selection: players fill their 5 ship slots from their unlocked roster. Ships vary by firepower, range, and support roles. Enemy waves advance automatically; your fleet fires while you manage upgrade spending and adapt composition. Credits are the primary upgrade currency, earned during rounds and spent on unlocking and improving ships. The pre-match loadout decision and between-wave Credit management are the two core strategic layers:

• 💰 Credits economy - earned during rounds and spent on ship unlocks and upgrades; early credit efficiency matters most
• 💼 Social bonuses - MRD lndustries group members get 100 bonus Credits at round start plus a 2% currency multiplier; each friend in-server adds 1,000 Crew and 100 Credits
• 🏆 Wave progression - enemy waves escalate in strength; fleet composition optimization is the endgame challenge
• 🗺️ Co-op play - up to 24 players per server; coordinated fleets between players create meaningful role synergies

Cash is a secondary currency alongside Credits. The Star Wars-inspired ship and location design gives the game a distinctive visual identity, though the developer disclaims all Disney and Lucasfilm rights.

SDS blends the wave-structure clarity of Tower Defense Simulator with a naval fleet-composition meta that rewards pre-match planning as much as in-round decision-making.
