Shrimp Game

Shrimp Game is a Squid Game-inspired survival competition on Roblox where up to 75 players are thrown into a series of deadly elimination minigames, with the last survivors claiming a Credits jackpot. Developed by The Shrimp Game group, it launched in late 2021 riding the massive cultural wave from the Netflix series and has since crossed 1 billion total visits.

The core loop drops players into a randomized sequence of minigames - fail one and you're out for the session. The current roster includes ten distinct challenges:

• Red Light, Green Light - freeze when the light turns red; any movement means elimination
• Dalgona - carefully trace a candy shape (circle, triangle, star, or umbrella) without breaking it
• Glass Stepping Stones - cross a bridge by picking the safe panel from each pair before the other shatters beneath you
• Mingle - form groups of a specified number before time runs out or be cut
• Jump Rope, Lights Out, Hide and Seek, Six-Legged Pentathlon, and Sky Shrimp Game round out the rotation
• Shrimp Game - the eponymous final showdown between the remaining players

Credits are the in-game currency earned by surviving rounds and eliminating opponents. They're spent in the cosmetic shop on character skins, costumes, and accessories - the jackpot system means each session's prize pool grows with player count and round progression, creating genuine stakes. A limited-time World Trading event previously allowed players to exchange cosmetic items, and the recently added Tower area brings a new game mode for returning players.

A limited number of promotional releases have been tied to follower milestones or seasonal events like Lunar New Year, making Credits a useful early boost toward cosmetic unlocks without affecting competitive gameplay.
