Spider Army!

Spider Army is an incremental army-building simulator on Roblox by Hidden Studio where players start as a spider and grow a squad of spider soldiers by spending Food, the primary currency. Recruit troops from Loot Crates, equip them with weapons and armor, and push into new enemy zones with your growing force. Launched in December 2024, the game accumulated over 20 million visits in its first months and holds an exceptional 97.3% approval rating from 86K upvotes, making it one of the highest-rated army-builder games on Roblox.

The core loop begins with defeating starting enemies - mosquitos - to earn Food. Food is spent on Loot Crates that yield randomly assigned spider soldiers with varying rarity tiers. Each soldier can be individually equipped with weapons and armor to raise their combat effectiveness. The army fights with an idle quality during sessions, but active decisions about equipment and zone progression keep it engaging. As the army strengthens, new enemy zones open with harder opponents and better potential soldiers:
