Players earn Time Alive by staying alive while fighting other players with swords, and losing it is the only punishment the game dishes out. The core mechanic is deceptively simple: survive. Every second you remain alive while at least six other players are in the session adds to your Time Alive counter. Time Alive is the status symbol - the leaderboard, the bragging right, and the thing everyone is trying to protect. Death is expensive: you lose 10% of your current time on every death, capped at a maximum loss of 250 time units per death. That cap matters at high time counts - the higher you climb, the more there is to lose:

• ⚔️ Swords - the primary weapon class, with multiple sword varieties scripted by contributor Regionality, each with different reach and damage profiles
• 🏆 Time Alive leaderboard - the main competitive metric; surviving longer than anyone else in the server is the explicit goal
• 💼 Quest system - a secondary progression layer also scripted by Regionality, giving structured objectives on top of the open survival loop
• 🗺️ Spawn area - a safe zone with real rules: you must stand completely still for 3 seconds to teleport to spawn, and you must be above 50% HP to do so

The anti-cheat ruleset is a defining part of the game's identity. Alt farming and friend-boosting are explicitly banned and result in a stat reset followed by a permanent ban. The competitive community takes these rules seriously - the FYT Community Discord is where players submit recorded evidence of exploiter deaths to request time restoration.

Six Gamepasses offer optional advantages for players who want an edge. The game sits firmly in the fighting and battlegrounds genre, sharing space with titles like BedWars on Roblox's competitive PvP side.
