About Stop the Timer
Stop the Timer is a reflex-based 1v1 competitive game on Roblox developed by Ascora Studios, where players attempt to stop a running Timer as close to a Target Time as possible. The player whose stopped time is nearest to the target wins the round. Unlike conventional racing or fighting games, the entire mechanic is pure reaction - there is no movement, combat, building, or gear. Launched in November 2025, the game has accumulated around 20 million visits and represents one of the few Roblox experiences built entirely around a single hyperspecific reflex skill.
The format makes Stop the Timer immediately accessible - anyone can understand the mechanic in seconds - but genuinely competitive for players who practice. High-level play requires consistent reaction time training, since fractions of a second separate wins from losses. The 1v1 format means every match is a direct head-to-head skill test with no team dynamics or luck involved.
Wins are tracked through a progression system with cosmetic customization rewards, including special chairs and props like the Laugh Chair. The rapid round format encourages back-to-back queuing, making it a strong pick for short-session play or as a party game between friends.
