Stud Tower Defense

Stud Tower Defense is a card-based tower defense game on Roblox where bugs have overrun Earth and humanity survives on floating ships above the devastation. Developed by Vansmena and ChickenGOD4 under the Otis Games group, the game launched in early 2025 and has accumulated roughly 19 million visits with updates every two weeks.

Players descend from their floating ship to ground colonies and strategically place Card-based towers (called Defenders) to repel escalating waves of insect enemies. What sets Stud TD apart from classic Roblox tower defense games like Tower Defense Simulator is its collectible card layer - towers are drawn from a personal Deck, making collection and deck-building as important as in-match tower placement strategy.

The core loop revolves around surviving waves, earning Cash and Shards, then spending them on Crates from the Traveling Salesman NPC to expand your card collection. Higher-rarity cards provide stronger defenders, so deck composition matters significantly - choosing the right mix of towers for each scenario adds a strategic layer beyond simple placement. Keybinds streamline in-match play: keys 1-9 place towers, R upgrades, F switches targeting, V sells, and T toggles game speed.

The game is currently in alpha, which means balance changes, new cards, and bug fixes arrive frequently alongside the biweekly update schedule. Premium players earn double Cash while in the Inner Ship AFK Room, providing a passive income option. Servers hold up to 28 players, making cooperative defense viable.
