Tang County, Hebei

Tang County, Hebei is a 1:1 scale open-world driving and social experience on Roblox built by Hebei Studios as a tribute to Tang County in Baoding Prefecture, Hebei Province, China. Launched in January 2020, it has accumulated over 93 million visits and 281K favorites over five years of continuous development, drawing 100-200 concurrent players. The game holds particular appeal for Chinese players and diaspora communities reconnecting with a real-world location recreated in faithful detail.

Driving is the central activity. The map replicates Tang County's actual road network, and players can choose from 57+ vehicles - dramatically expanded in the major October 2025 "Update Finale" - each with improved paint materials, working light controls, and exhaust smoke effects. A refurbished road network near the dealership and new intersection designs from the same update improved the driving experience further. The E key now provides a contextual vehicle entry mechanic replacing earlier button-based entry.

The in-game economy uses RMB (Renminbi) and the ¥ symbol to mirror real-world Chinese yuan notation, with values in the hundreds of thousands per transaction. Players earn RMB through working jobs and completing activities, then spend at the dealership on new vehicles. Update Finale made earning cash significantly faster, lowering the barrier to owning a wider selection of cars.

Up to 60 players share each server, enabling social gatherings across the map. Private servers with password protection support admin commands for organized roleplay scenarios. Group members receive in-game compensation during data loss events, rewarding active community participation.
