About The Flash: Project Speedforce
The Flash: Project Speedforce is an open-world PvP superhero game on Roblox developed by Starlight Softworks, centered on DC Comics Speedsters but expanded into a broad superhero crossover with dozens of characters from comics, television, film, and gaming. Players fight each other in Central City to earn Flashcoins, then spend Flashcoins to unlock new characters and skins. Since launching in October 2019, it has grown to around 92 million visits and 386K favorites, with active updates through March 2026 including recent Invincible crossover content.
The core loop is PvP-driven: fight other players, earn Flashcoins from combat participation and race completions, and unlock the roster. Different characters have different movesets - Flash variants use speed-force combat abilities while Superman, Spider-Man, Batman, and others express powers from their source material. The character roster has grown well beyond the Flash's central identity:
- DC Comics - The Flash (multiple variants including Red Death and American Flash), Superman, Batman, Supergirl
- Marvel - Spider-Man
- TV/Streaming - The Boys characters, Doctor Who
- Games/Animation - Sonic the Hedgehog, Invincible (Omni-Man variant added March 2026)
- CW versions - Television adaptations of DC characters
Racing is a dedicated speed competition mode that serves as the purest expression of the Speedster fantasy - players compete in timed runs to see who is genuinely fastest. Roleplay Mode disables combat entirely for free exploration and social interaction, making the game accessible to players who want the superhero aesthetic without PvP. Two map options provide variety.
Joining the Starlight Softworks Roblox group (ID 5233163) unlocks exclusive characters not purchasable with Flashcoins alone. The game is available across PS5, PS4, Xbox, Mobile, and PC.
