The Forge

The Forge is a mining, crafting, and combat RPG on Roblox where players mine ores, forge weapons and armor from ore combinations, enchant gear with runes, and battle enemies across progressively dangerous islands. Developed by FireAtacck under The Forge Community group, the game launched in May 2025 and surpassed 1 billion visits within its first year, drawing 4K-10K concurrent players.

The defining feature is the combinatorial forging system. Players place collected ores into a forge crucible, where the type, rarity, and proportion of each ore determine the resulting item's design, stats, traits, and multiplier. Over 1,000 weapon and armor combinations exist. A three-stage forging mini-game adds a skill layer - performing poorly yields weaker results. Certain ores require 30%+ representation in the recipe to activate their special trait, like Obsidian's flat defense boost or Demonite's burn-on-hit effect.

Progression spans four islands:

• Stonewake's Cross - starting zone with basic ores and introductory enemies
• Forgotten Kingdom - autumn-themed archipelago with volcanic caves and mid-tier ores
• Frostspire Expanse - adds new weapon types (spears, maces, one-handed axes) and top-tier ores like Etherealite, Iceite, and Voidstar
• Island 4 - Japanese-inspired zone released in February 2026 that raised the level cap to 250, rebalanced the ore economy, and overhauled rune costs

The rune system adds another layer of customization. Runes applied at Runemaker stations grant 1-3 random traits per slot, with new rune slots unlocking every 3rd gear enhancement level. Rerolls - the main reward from codes - let players re-randomize rune traits until they land the perfect combination. For endgame builds, stacking the right runes across multiple slots is the difference between average gear and the strongest loadouts.
