Touhou Tower Assault is a tower defense game on Roblox built around the Touhou Project franchise by ZUN, featuring over 90 collectible characters from the series. Developed by the Gensokyo Development group since late 2022, it has accumulated 10.5 million+ visits and maintains a strong 94% approval rating. The game carves a distinct niche in the Roblox tower defense genre by drawing exclusively from Touhou lore, music, and aesthetics rather than mixing anime IPs like All Star Tower Defense or Anime Defenders.

Players enter stages, deploy Touhou characters as defensive units along enemy paths, and upgrade them to survive increasingly difficult waves. Each of the 90+ characters functions as a tower with unique stats, attack patterns, range, and abilities. New characters are obtained primarily through a gacha banner system with three tiers:

• Standard Mythic Banner - high-tier character pulls from the permanent pool

The game runs on four currencies: Gold for general use, Crystals for banner pulls, Talent Shards for the character upgrade system, and Shards as a general upgrade material. The Talent system is the main progression gate for strengthening characters, and Talent Shards are the primary resource for powering up your roster. Seasonal events like the Winter Event introduce new stages, skins, treasures, and limited-time banners to keep the content rotation fresh.
