About Twisted
Twisted is a storm chasing simulation game on Roblox set in the fictional midwestern state of Keysota, developed by Willzuh and Siryzm under the Twisted Official group. Players drive across open plains and rural highways, track severe weather on an in-game radar overlay, deploy data-collecting probes into tornado paths, and attempt high-risk vehicle interceptions of violent storms. With over 122 million visits and a dedicated enthusiast playerbase drawing 3K-7K concurrent players, it occupies a completely unique niche on the platform - no other Roblox game offers this level of storm chasing simulation depth.
The core gameplay loop centers on reading the radar to locate Tornadic Vortex Signatures (TVS), which appear as colored triangles indicating approximate storm intensity from green (weakest) through progressively warmer colors to pink (most violent). Players drive toward developing storms and earn Cash - the game's only currency - by placing probes ahead of a tornado's path. When the tornado passes over a deployed probe at winds above 65 mph, the probe records data and generates a Cash payout that scales with storm intensity. More advanced players invest in chaser vehicles - armored machines that can physically withstand tornado-force winds up to 235 mph - to intercept storms directly for higher payouts:
- ๐บ๏ธ Keysota map - open plains, rolling hills, rural highways, and farms designed for long-distance tornado spotting with clear sight lines
- ๐ Chaser vehicles - armored TIV-class and Dominator interceptors that can be deployed in the storm's path as mobile data collectors
- ๐ผ Trucking Jobs - drive semi trucks and trailers for freight, grain, and logging jobs as a lucrative side activity
- ๐ผ National Weather Service Access - issue your own tornado warnings that trigger sirens across the entire server, and formally rate storm damage on the EF scale
- ๐ผ Fire / EMS - work for county fire departments, drive fire trucks, and revive NPCs caught in tornado-ravaged areas for income
- โณ Wind speed ladder - badge progression from recording 100 mph winds up to the elite 500 mph milestone, reached by only 94 players
Cash funds the entire progression system. Players upgrade from civilian vehicles to capable chaser vehicles, invest in higher-tier probes and mesonets (advanced atmospheric instruments), and gradually take on more violent storms. The EF Scale classification system adds simulation depth - players assess structural damage on the map to determine a storm's actual intensity, combining data reading with visual observation.
Twisted has been in beta since its December 2020 launch, though the label is more of a tradition than an indication of early-access status. The game is fully functional and regularly updated, with active development continuing through April 2026 and a 12,870-page Fandom wiki maintained by a community of genuine weather enthusiasts.
