Ultimate Tower Defense (UTD) is an anime-inspired tower defense game on Roblox with over 1 billion visits, placing it among the most-played games on the platform. Players collect anime-character units through a gacha Roll system, place them along enemy paths, and upgrade them to survive increasingly difficult waves. The unit economy revolves around Gold, Gems, Rolls, Trait Rerolls, Perk Rerolls, and rare Lost Chests - each playing a distinct role in building your roster.

The core loop splits into battle and collection phases. In battle, Gold is spent to place units along the edges of enemy paths and upgrade them between waves - surviving all waves completes the map and earns more Gold.
