Ground Zero

Ground Zero is a military-themed faction roleplay game on Roblox set in a post-apocalyptic border zone overrun by a virus. Players choose from 15 unique teams - including CBRN Soldiers, Outlaws, Scientists, Mutants, Military Police, Infiltrators, and Strikers - each with different objectives and mechanics within the same server. Developed by the [CBRN] group and created in April 2020, the game has accumulated over 39 million visits, 189K favorites, and a community of over 700K group members. The virus theme and military setting give it a distinctive identity among Roblox roleplay games.

The game is structured around faction identity and territorial control across servers of up to 50 players. CBRN Soldiers defend the border against virus threats, Outlaws attack from outside, and Military Police maintain order within the safe zone. The most distinctive features are the Mutant transformation system (9 distinct virus-infected forms, each with unique abilities) and the Scientist experiments (20 unique research tasks for players who prefer non-combat roleplay). The Mutant vs. CBRN dynamic serves as the core PvP conflict driving moment-to-moment action.

Each faction has its own Team XP track - separate experience for CBRN, Outlaw, Scientist, Military Police, Striker, and Infiltrator roles. Advancing rank within a team unlocks better equipment and abilities for that faction. Cash is the primary currency earned through combat and activities, while Gold serves as the premium currency with Gold Spins unlocking randomized premium items. Joining the CBRN Roblox group grants a free weapon, and Premium players receive bonus Cash passively.

Seasonal events keep the content fresh, with Easter events introducing Carrots (seasonal currency), winter events providing Snowflakes, and milestone celebrations rewarding Confetti Grenades and Air Horns.
