Anomic

Anomic is a persistent open-world roleplay economy game on Roblox set in a fictional 1992 Nevada desert county called Anomie County. Developed by Anomic Studios and launched in January 2020, it has grown to nearly 99 million visits - making it one of Roblox's defining life-simulation experiences outside of titles like Brookhaven. Players choose from multiple career paths, participate in a player-driven economy, and interact in sessions where every outcome depends on the decisions of the 50 players sharing the server.

The economy is the beating heart of Anomic. Prices fluctuate based on server supply and demand rather than fixed NPC rates. Players buy and sell weapons, vehicles, and goods to each other. Choosing your career defines how you earn:

• 💼 Sheriff - law enforcement career protecting the county, arresting criminals, and operating police vehicles
• 🚗 Trucker - delivery-based income route transporting goods across Anomie County
• 💼 Advanced Gunsmith - sell weapons directly to players for a $200/5-minute salary (pass required)
• 💼 Advanced Car Dealer - deliver fast and valuable vehicles to other players (pass required)
• 💼 SWAT - heavy law enforcement with armored transport and specialized weapons (pass required)
• 🎭 Criminal - hide in the canyons of Anomie County and make cash through illegal means

Crews (gang pass) let organized players create territory-defending groups with custom uniforms and exclusive weapon access. Crafters produce special items through a crafting system. The armor system creates meaningful combat depth - armored players take roughly one-third of unarmored damage, making equipment decisions high-stakes.

Anomie County has grown substantially since launch. The July 2025 Bajadena Update added a new city south of Eastdike alongside new guns, chop shops, and a revamped Bank. Seasonal events including the Halloween Blood and Ember update (Firefighter team added) and April Fools events run annually. A standalone sequel, Anomic 2, is in development with gamepasses transferring from the original. With a 4,974-page Fandom wiki edited as recently as April 2026, the community knowledge base is one of the most thorough of any Roblox game.
