Camping

Camping is a Roblox adventure-horror story game created by solo developer SamsonXVI in September 2018, where a group of up to 12 players venture into the woods for a camping trip that takes a dark supernatural turn across three scripted nights. With over 297 million visits and 956,000 favorites, it is one of the most-played horror story games on Roblox and established the template for the "Roblox camping horror" genre. The Certified Camper badge for surviving all three nights has been earned by only 2.2 million players - a 9.5% completion rate.

The experience is narrative-driven and semi-linear, with no persistent currency or leveling system. Each session progresses through three scripted nights as players explore the forested environment, gather around the campfire, and survive whatever threat unfolds. Replayability comes from bringing different friends and from discovering secrets hidden in the woods. The game includes a second map called Specky Woods. Six gamepasses provide consumable survival aids for the journey:

The original has remained essentially complete since then, with the most recent Roblox update in July 2025 reflecting minor maintenance rather than new content.
