About Chasing
Chasing is an asymmetric survival horror game on Roblox by Air's World where one player takes the role of the Killer and up to six others play as Survivors attempting to complete objectives and escape. Set in a criminal organization that turns captured subjects into serial killers, it draws clear inspiration from Dead by Daylight. Launched in July 2025, Chasing reached 9.3M+ visits and 204K favorites while still in Alpha - numbers that rival many fully released games on the platform.
Each 7-player server assigns roles at round start, with Survivors forming the majority. Survivors must locate and complete five objectives scattered across the map before the six-minute timer expires, while staying alive long enough to escape:
- ⚔️ Killer - hunts every Survivor before time runs out; activates a chase ability on the G key during pursuits
- 🗺️ Prone (X) - lie flat to hide or reduce detection by the Killer
- 🗺️ Crouch (C) - low-profile movement for cover and tight spaces
- 🗺️ Ragdoll (Q) - fake death or disorient the Killer mid-chase
- 🎭 Emote (T) - mislead the Killer with misdirection during pursuits
Rolls are the gacha currency used to unlock Killer variants and Survivor cosmetics. Four named Killers are currently in the game - Gary, Sketch, Loki, and Sebastian - each with distinct abilities, so unlocking more Killers directly expands how the role can be played rather than being purely cosmetic. The RAGE mechanic builds over time and determines how often you are assigned the Killer role.
Cash and XP are earned through rounds. The VIP pass provides a +50% bonus to both, while the Killer Chance pass doubles RAGE accumulation for players who prefer hunting over surviving. An AFK World system provides periodic rewards even between active matches. Chasing sits in the same niche as other Roblox asymmetric horror games but stands out with its named Killer roster and the RAGE assignment system, which gives dedicated players influence over which role they play.
