About Clover City
Clover City is an open-world urban action game on Roblox by developer group Digital Cosmos that draws direct inspiration from Da Hood - a city sandbox with melee combat, safe-robbing, job-taking, destructible environments, and home customization. Created in January 2022, it has accumulated 15.5 million visits with active development confirmed into December 2025. A minimum 2-week-old Roblox account is required to enter.
The combat system is the game's defining feature, built around a melee charge mechanic that rewards timing and positioning. Players move through a three-state health system after being hit:
- ⚔️ Melee charge system - holding the melee button builds charge; your fist glows at maximum damage for a heavy hit that staggers opponents and interrupts attack chains
- ⚔️ Three-state knockout - Knocked Out (vulnerable to stomp damage), Downed (stomp kills), Dead
- 💰 Cash - the primary currency earned by robbing Safes, killing NPCs, or taking a job; spent at shops on weapons and character stat upgrades
- 🗺️ Destructible environment - streetlights, fire hydrants, and trees can be damaged; fallen trees yield wood for barricading positions
- 🏠 Home customization - players own and decorate a home within the city map
- 💼 Jobs - a legitimate income source alongside the combat and crime economy
Blocking with F and timing stomps on downed opponents are the core tactical decisions in every fight. Weapons range from melee tools to ranged guns, each with different trade-offs. The gym allows players to adjust their character's body size, and hidden secrets reward thorough exploration.
Joining the Digital Cosmos Roblox group grants a permanent Glowstick item. The Fandom wiki at roblox-clover-city.fandom.com (241 pages) documents weapon stats and zone strategies. If you enjoy this style of urban sandbox combat, Da Hood is the game it draws the most direct comparison to.
