Dog!

Dog! is a Roblox horror and survival game by Retro Horror (project leader: StarMarine), heavily inspired by Piggy, where players interact with a mysterious entity named Dog who will answer any question but may kill everyone in the server before he does. Since its January 2022 launch the game has accumulated over 261 million visits and 328K favorites with a 90.1% approval rating. A milestone code is publicly committed at 250,000 likes.

The game's entire tension builds from one mechanic and the social dynamics it creates:

• 🎭 Dog interaction - type "Dog" followed by any question in chat; he reads and may respond or kill first
• ⚔️ Killer role - players can be randomly assigned as Dog, hunting the surviving players
• 🏆 Killer Chance - chance-based role assignment, upgradeable via x2 and x5 Killer Chance passes
• 💎 Skins - cosmetic character appearances purchased with Coins; some code-exclusive rarities exist
• 🗺️ Chapter 1 - narrative story content with a dedicated completion badge and obby challenge
• 💰 Taser mechanic - defensive tool for stunning Dog, purchasable via the Taser and x2 Taser passes

In a 7-player server, informal social dynamics around the Dog mechanic create emergent horror. Players negotiate whether to ask Dog anything at all - one question from any individual puts the entire server at risk. Server shutdowns signal updates, a convention Retro Horror communicates directly in the game description.

Coins are the only currency, spent on skins. The Tompus Skin from the expired DISTOM code is now a rare collectible. A separate Ben VC Place serves players who prefer voice communication. For the horror genre this draws from, Piggy established many of the conventions Dog! builds on.
