How to redeem codes

To redeem codes in Dread, press Tab to open the player menu, then click Codes in the upper-right corner of the window. Type or paste your code into the input field and confirm. Entering codes exactly as shown is recommended. Each code is one-time use per account.

All Dread codes reward Cash ($) - the in-game currency used to purchase weapons, body armor, and utilities from the shop. Code values range from around $650 for standard milestone codes up to $5,000 for rare high-value drops. Redeeming codes early in a new account lets you skip the initial grind and unlock better starting gear immediately instead of working through early rounds with limited weapons.

Dread codes fall into two categories: Update Codes released alongside major patches (shorter lifespan, announced promptly in the Bakon Community Discord) and Hidden Codes embedded inside maps and discovered through exploration (longer lifespan). With 51 expired codes on record, checking the Bakon Community Discord when updates drop is the best way to catch new codes before they expire. The game has been in a quieter update period since 2023, so new codes are infrequent.

How do I redeem codes in Dread?
