About GEF Road
GEF Road is a driving adventure spinoff of the survival horror game GEF, developed by verified group mPhase. Released on April Fools' Day 2025 as a parody inspired by Dead Rails, the absurdist premise is straightforward: GEFs have spread across the universe, the cure is exactly 999,999,999 studs away, and you must drive there to save the world. Despite its joke origins, it accumulated over 59.9 million visits and 1.9 million favorites in its first weeks of release.
The game strips the horror tension of the original GEF into a road-trip survival format built around managing a single vehicle across an enormous distance:
- 🚗 Drive toward the cure location 999,999,999 studs away while managing fuel
- ⚔️ Avoid or ram GEF creatures encountered on the road
- 🗺️ Collect and manage supplies using a limited backpack inventory
- 💎 Unlock the Upgraded Car gamepass (799 R$) for +20 speed, 2x fuel efficiency, and GEF-smashing capability
The Upgraded Car gamepass fundamentally changes the run - a car that destroys GEFs on contact removes a major obstacle while the doubled fuel efficiency makes long-distance driving far more viable. The +2 Backpack Slots pass (199 R$) increases starting inventory from 4 to 6 slots, giving more room for essential supplies.
GEF Road benefits from mPhase's established GEF fanbase crossing over, and the Dead Rails-inspired endless-road format gives it a genuinely engaging structure beyond the April Fools' premise.
