About Identity Fraud

What the game is about and where to play it

Identity Fraud is a horror maze escape game on Roblox created by 32bitPC under the verified group Team M0THERB0ARD, published January 1, 2016. Players navigate three distinct mazes filled with supernatural monsters, hidden secrets, and puzzle challenges while pressing toward the exit. With 354 million visits, 2 million favorites, and an 87.3% approval rating sustained across a decade of operation, it is one of Roblox's most foundational horror titles. Maze 3 received a full 10th-anniversary overhaul in 2026, confirming ongoing development.

Each of the three mazes has a distinct visual identity, monster roster, and core challenge:

  • 🗺️ The Labyrinth (Maze 1) - beige brick multicursal maze with branching paths; home to Fraud, Stan, and Ralph
  • 🗺️ The Hedge Maze (Maze 2) - grass-wall maze with a hidden Party Room containing a Base64 code puzzle
  • 🗺️ The Office (Maze 3) - fluorescent office building with a Morse code radio puzzle at its center
  • 💎 Hard Mode cuts player health to 1, disables all Radar gamepasses, and removes checkpoints
  • 🎭 The monster Fraud disguises itself as another player, waves to draw attention, then gives chase

The Party Room in Maze 2 is a key survival location - monster Alice cannot enter it, making it the only safe refuge during her patrol. Eleven badges track escape milestones from each maze plus hidden Camp discoveries and Hard Mode completion. A Fandom wiki at identity-fraud.fandom.com with 50 pages documents all monsters, mazes, and lore in detail.

Identity Fraud spawned a full narrative sequel, Identity Fraud 2, set across multiple chapters inside Grace Mercy West Hospital - an expansion of the original's world and story.

What is Identity Fraud?
Identity Fraud is a horror maze escape game on Roblox by 32bitPC, published January 1, 2016. Players navigate three distinct mazes - The Labyrinth, The Hedge Maze, and The Office - while avoiding supernatural monsters and solving puzzles. It has 354 million visits and received a full Maze 3 overhaul for its 10th anniversary in 2026.
Who made Identity Fraud?
Identity Fraud was created by 32bitPC under the developer group Team M0THERB0ARD, which is Roblox-verified. The game launched January 1, 2016, making it one of Roblox's longest-running horror titles. The developer released a sequel, Identity Fraud 2, in September 2016, and overhauled Maze 3 in 2026 for the 10th anniversary.
Who is Fraud in Identity Fraud?
Fraud is the main antagonist - a pitch-black humanoid monster that mimics the appearance of other players. It spawns inactive at the start of Maze 1, then after roughly two minutes begins disguising itself as a player, waves to draw your attention, and chases you. If Fraud kills a player, it takes on that player's appearance and will also attack witnesses. It does not attack players from behind.
What is Hard Mode in Identity Fraud?
Hard Mode is enabled in the settings menu before starting. It reduces player health from 100 to 1, meaning any damage causes instant death. Monster Radar and Advanced Radar gamepasses are disabled, there are no checkpoints, and Fraud, Ralph, and Alice all run faster than in normal mode. Hard Mode has its own dedicated completion badge.
What is the Party Room in Identity Fraud?
The Party Room is a hidden disco room in The Hedge Maze (Maze 2), accessed via a ladder on a specific path. It contains a Base64-encoded code that opens a door, and critically, the monster Alice cannot enter it - making it the only safe refuge during her patrol. A hidden path from the Party Room also leads directly to Maze 3.
Does Identity Fraud have codes?
No. Identity Fraud does not have a code system and has never offered code-based rewards in its ten-year history. The game monetizes through three optional gamepasses: Monster Radar, Advanced Radar, and the Maze 2 Clock.
