About M.E.G. Endless Reality
M.E.G. Endless Reality is a Backrooms-inspired cooperative survival and mission game developed by PUG_Games where players take on the role of M.E.G. (Major Explorer Group) employees assigned to enter the liminal horror dimension known as The Backrooms and complete escalating mission objectives. Since its alpha launch in September 2024 it has grown to 124 million visits with a 92.5% approval rating - one of the strongest approval scores in the Backrooms genre - and received its most recent update just days before this profile was written.
Each session assigns a group of up to 35 players a set of mission objectives within the shifting levels of The Backrooms:
- 🗺️ Navigate distinct Backrooms levels with different aesthetics, from liminal yellowed corridors to weirdcore and dreamcore zones
- 🗺️ Locate and escort lost travellers through levels to safety
- ⚔️ Survive encounters with hostile entities that inhabit the deeper levels
- 🗺️ Find and seal No-Clip zones - points where reality breaks and entities can intrude
- 🎭 Coordinate with up to 34 other players to complete mission objectives before extraction
Mission structure rather than permanent stat progression defines the loop, inspired directly by the co-op extraction format of Lethal Company. Successful extractions reward the group; failed missions send everyone back. Playing on max graphics with volume up is strongly recommended by the developer for the full atmospheric experience.
M.E.G. Endless Reality is the most mechanically structured of the Roblox Backrooms genre. Where Doors focuses on procedural obstacle rooms and Apeirophobia on level progression, M.E.G. adds a mission-objective layer and the M.E.G. employee framing that grounds the horror in co-op purpose rather than pure survival.
