About Monsters of Etheria
Monsters of Etheria is a Pokemon-inspired monster-catching and battling RPG on Roblox by the Monsters of Etheria group where players explore the Alchas region, catch and train unique creatures called Etherians, and battle other players for PvP ranking or join dedicated roleplay servers for narrative play. Created in January 2012, it is one of the oldest games at this scale on Roblox - 148 million visits and 710K favorites accumulated across 14-plus years of continuous operation.
The gameplay spans catching, training, and competition:
- 🗺️ Explore the Alchas region to encounter wild Etherians with distinct stats, types, and move sets
- ⚔️ Battle other players in action-based combat to climb PvP rankings across separate dedicated PvP server instances
- 💎 Complete quests from NPC questgivers for item rewards and new Etherians alongside open-world grinding
- 🎭 Join RP servers for story-crafting and social play in separate instances from the competitive PvP crowd
- 💰 Earn Etheria Coins at the General Shoppe and accumulate Hydra Crystals for high-tier upgrades
The Town safe zone in Alchas lets Etherians regenerate 5% HP every five seconds while staying invulnerable, but passive EXP gain stops there - pushing players back into the world to progress. The game maintains separate Roblox place instances for PvP and Roleplay, giving each community a distinct home. Developer Uglypoe runs an active content creator partnership program and posts changelogs on the DevForum, maintaining the game's living-document approach across its extraordinary lifespan.
With two currently active rewards and over 111 expired entries, Monsters of Etheria has one of the deepest reward histories of any game on the platform. Players who enjoy the monster-catching RPG format may also want to compare Creatures of Sonaria for a different take on creature collection on Roblox.
