NHL Blast Hockey

NHL Blast Hockey is the National Hockey League's official Roblox experience, developed by The Gang Stockholm in partnership with the NHL Official Roblox Group. It brings physics-driven ice hockey to Roblox with real team rosters, authentic jerseys from all NHL franchises, and a momentum-based skating system modeled on actual NHL player movement. As the only officially licensed hockey game on the platform, it has accumulated 28.7 million visits since its April 2023 launch.

The current game mode - launched in February 2026 - is 3v3 + Goalie hockey with physics-driven play on a full ice rink:

• 🏆 Level up through XP earned from matches to unlock hockey sticks and skates with different stat profiles
• 💎 Collect equipment items via level milestones - sticks affecting shot power and accuracy, skates affecting speed
• ⏳ Grind XP during ALPHA before the upcoming Beta launch wipes all progress and equipment for a fresh start

Progression during ALPHA is XP-based: match play earns XP that levels up your account and unlocks equipment. All progress wipes at Beta launch, making the current phase a testing period rather than a permanent record. Purchasing items for the old 5v5 game mode is restricted during ALPHA.

NHL Blast Hockey is the only Roblox sports title with a real NHL partnership, distinguishing it from fan-made hockey games. Sponsor partnerships with The Upper Deck Company, Chipotle, and BA Sports Nutrition add promotional content tied to campaign events. The Beta launch will reset the competitive landscape and is expected to bring significant new content.
